News : UGC-SPONSORED ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON INNOVATIVE TEACHING METHODOLOGY IN STATISTICS CONDUCTED ON 23 rd MARCH 2010

The Department of statistics was started in 1959. There are four faculty members in the Department. They are,

•  Shri. F V Kallanagouder M.Sc. - HOD

•  Smt. V S Hiremath M.Sc.

•  Dr.(Smt.) J V Arali M.Sc.,PG.DCA, Ph.D

•  Shri S.B. Hiremath M.Sc., PGDCA

The results of B.Sc. Final year, since its inception is excellent and overwhelming. The students of our department have almost continuously bagged university ranks every year. Our department has been arranging seminars, Tutorials, Quiz, Guest lectures, visit to industry and Surveys. The Department of Statistics has procured S.P.S.S. Software under CPE – UGC grants. Our alumni have occupied very good positions in the Govt./Private Sector. Department of Statistics has introduced certificate course.

The members of faculty are highly experienced and committed. They update their knowledge by attending / presenting a paper in workshop / National level seminars conducted on the campus and off the campus regularly.
