P.C.Jabin Science College, Hubli a single science faculty institution has been established by K.L.E Society, Belgaum with a vision to impart basic science education to the students.

The department of Physics was established along with the institution in the year 1957 is under autonomous mode since 2007.

Infrastructure

• The department has four well equipped laboratories with state of art equipments
• A research laboratory with internet facility

Faculty: Department of physics has thirteen experienced, sincere & hardworking faculty of whom 5 faculty are Ph.D and 4 with M.Phil.

Student Strength

Department has highest student strength for the current year. The strength of the students for U.G courses B.Sc.-I, II & III is 490.

P.G. Course in Physics

To cater the needs of the students, the Department of Physics has planned to start M.Sc in Physics with specialization Electronics from the academic year 2012-13.

Eligibility : B.Sc with Physics as compulsory optional subject

Duration : Four Semesters
